What Telegram does for your salon
Once connected, you get a message whenever:
- a client sends a question through your site's chat. Reply in Telegram and it goes straight back to them;
- a new photo is snapped in the salon. Tap Approve and it appears on your site;
- Lustre has a booking alert for you, such as a waitlist client to offer a freed-up time.
Installing Telegram
Don't have Telegram yet? Install the free app first from the iPhone or Android link on the Telegram page, then come back to the console.
Connecting Telegram to your salon
- Open Telegram in the console on the phone that has Telegram.
- Press Connect Telegram. Telegram opens.
- Press Start in Telegram. Lustre replies Connected to your Lustre site.
The status changes from Not connected to Connected, with the date it was linked. If alerts stop arriving, press Reconnect Telegram.
Switching between busy and quiet
Send /busy or /quiet to Lustre in Telegram to update the live status your site shows. Quiet means you are accepting bookings.
iMessage and text alerts
Lustre can also send owner alerts to your salon mobile by iMessage or text. When this is set up for your salon, the Telegram page shows iMessage ready (or iMessage needs phone) and when you last replied.
