Service terms

Terms

These terms cover use of Lustre websites, customer consoles, bookings, subscriptions and related managed services provided by CES Digital.

Agreement

By ordering, accessing or using Lustre, you agree to these terms. Lustre is provided by CES Digital for New Zealand salons and related businesses. If you use Lustre for a business, you confirm you are authorised to act for that business.

The Service

Lustre provides managed salon websites and related tools, which may include website design, hosting, customer consoles, content editing, local SEO setup, maps, galleries, enquiry tools, AI-assisted chat, booking features, payment links, reporting, domain setup and support.

We may update, improve, replace or remove features over time. We will use reasonable care when doing so, especially where a change affects an active customer site.

Subscriptions And Payment

Lustre is billed as a recurring subscription at the price shown when you order, unless we agree something different in writing. Prices are shown in New Zealand dollars and include GST where stated. Payments are processed by Stripe or another payment provider.

You are responsible for keeping payment details current. If payment fails, we may retry payment, contact you, pause paid features, suspend service or cancel the subscription.

Cancellation

You can cancel your Lustre subscription at any time. Cancellation stops future subscription billing, but does not automatically refund previous payments, setup work, domain registrations or third-party costs already incurred unless required by law or agreed in writing.

Domains

If you ask us to register or manage a domain, domain availability is not guaranteed until registration is complete. Domain fees, registrar rules and renewal requirements may apply. If you connect your own domain, you are responsible for keeping ownership and registrar access unless we agree to manage it for you.

Your Content

You are responsible for the accuracy and legality of content on your site, including services, prices, opening hours, promotions, policies, staff information, photos, reviews, social links, business details and claims about your work. You must have the rights and permissions needed for any content you provide or approve.

You allow us to use, edit, host, publish, resize and adapt your content as needed to provide Lustre. You keep ownership of content you provide, subject to any rights held by third parties.

Acceptable Use

You must not use Lustre for unlawful, misleading, abusive, harmful, infringing or security-compromising activity. We may refuse, remove or suspend content or access where we reasonably believe it creates legal, security, operational or reputational risk.

Bookings And Customer Dealings

If your site uses booking, payment or enquiry features, your salon remains responsible for the services you provide, appointment availability, customer communication, refund decisions, disputes and compliance with consumer obligations. Lustre provides software and managed website support; it does not provide salon services to your customers.

Prepaid online bookings are reschedule-only for the customer: a customer can reschedule from their manage-booking link where live availability permits, but cannot cancel online. To cancel, the customer contacts the salon directly, and any refund is at the salon's discretion. Where a salon takes a deposit rather than the full price, the deposit secures the booking and is non-refundable (the remaining balance is settled in the salon); the salon may still choose to issue a refund from its console. The deposit or full amount to be charged is shown to the customer before payment.

Customers may reschedule eligible prepaid bookings from their manage-booking link where live availability permits. Rescheduled bookings keep the service, extras and prepaid price from the original booking, even if the salon changes its menu prices later. Inside the salon's self-serve change window, customers must contact the salon directly.

AI-Assisted Features

Lustre may use AI to draft copy, assist with site content, generate prompts, summarise information or respond to customers. AI output may be wrong, incomplete or unsuitable. You are responsible for reviewing AI-assisted content and customer-facing information before relying on it.

Third-Party Services

Lustre relies on third-party providers for hosting, payments, domains, maps, email, messaging, analytics, address lookup, AI and other functions. Their terms, outages, limits and policy changes may affect the service. We are not responsible for third-party websites or services outside our reasonable control.

Availability And Support

We aim to keep Lustre reliable and useful, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service. We may perform maintenance, respond to incidents or make operational changes as needed. Support is provided through the contact channels we make available.

Privacy

Our handling of personal information is described in our Privacy Policy. By using Lustre, you agree that we can collect, use and process information as described there.

Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, CES Digital is not liable for indirect, consequential or special loss, loss of profit, loss of revenue, loss of data, lost rankings, lost traffic, third-party failures or business outcomes arising from Lustre. Nothing in these terms limits rights that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

Changes To These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The updated version applies from the date shown on this page. If a material change affects active customers, we will take reasonable steps to notify them.
